This has always been one of my favourite festive stories. I didn't want to add the scenes she sees - the christmas tree etc because I wanted to focus on her face and get the lighting right; and a gaudy tree would distract from the image I thought. So this would be the match she lights before she sees her grandmother. Link for story here: [link] It's quite sad, but bittersweet to me.

Poser 7 and lots of postwork in Photoshop.

Poser - Laura with Mel Blue, MFD and PC texture. KiriTe hair and morphing shawl with my texture. Brush for flames from redheadstock.

Thanks for looking :)

Very well done. I think the match flame is a little large for my tastes, but the character and lighting are superb. How did you do the blanket around her, in the cloth room or post? Anyway, very nice piece. :)
I do agree with SartoriTangier about the flame, but the lightning is really awesome! Great job!

WOW! *cries softly after reading the story* You are right, it's a story worthy of remembering in new ways and I approve of your picture heartily.
